The Conero Riviera is the stretch of Adriatic coast, high and rocky, which from the port of the city of Ancona reaches that of Numana. It takes its name from Monte Conero, which forms the homonymous promontory overlooking the sea, rich in coves and small rocky or stony beaches; it has a coastal lenght of about twenty kilometers. The territory is protected under the Conero Regional Park, the first regional park in Le Marche region by date of establishment.

It is known for being the city where St. Francis, patron saint of Italy, and St. Clare were born, lived and died. The city of Assisi is located on the north-western slope of Mount Subasio, in a moderately uphill position with respect to the northern Umbrian Valley, about 26 km south-east of Perugia. In the year 2000 the city of Assisi, the Papal Basilica of San Francesco, that of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the other Franciscan sites, with almost all of the municipal territory, constitute a site included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Spoleto is located at the southern end of the Umbrian Valley, a vast alluvial plain generated in prehistoric times by the presence of a vast lake, the Lacus Umber, dried up permanently in the Middle Age, after its swamping, with reclamation works. Since 1958 it has hosted the Festival dei Due Mondi, also known as the Spoleto Festival: an international event of music, art, culture and entertainment that takes place annually in the city.
Tolentino is home to the International Museum of Humor in Art (MIUMOR); Founded in 1970 as the Caricature Museum, it promotes the International Biennial of Humor in Art (BIUMOR), an international event attended by comedians and cartoonists from all over the world. Center of great religious and artistic interest is the Basilica of San Nicola da Tolentino, with an adjoining Augustinian convent, and the Egidiana Library, whose origins date back to 1358 and whose archive has been recognized as being of public utility and of considerable historical interest.
